Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

·         An IT related degree (B Sc, B Com / B Bus Sc)

·         A minimum of 5 years experience in Java programming / development

·         Experience in J2EE / JEE Architecture

·         Experience on the IBM technology, especially the Websphere application server will be an advantage

·         Knowledge of UML, XML, JPA, DB2 and JPA

·         Linux / Ubuntu knowledge is a definite advantage

·         A Sun Certified Java Programmer certificate will also be an advantage

·         Experience in web or rich projects

Key outputs:

You will be responsible for but not limited to the design, development and maintenance of Java based applications; the reduction of current platform dependencies; evaluation of various patterns and Java integration
