The management and day-to-day running of the media owner sales and business development department. The position will have an important influence on the running of the business, as well as medium to long term strategy. The job role should see that over the course of the first 6 months and in consultation with the company CEO, s/he takes over most of the day-to-day business decisions and functions.
 
 Essential Job Functions
·  Responsible for media turnover – sales numbers
· Setting media targets in consultation with CEO
· Implement strategy to achieve targets
· Hiring staff, reviews with staff members and day-to-day management of those roles.
· Handling key clients – in particular nurture senior key client relationships.
· Train new staff members
·  Report monthly on key business performance and results
 
Non-essential Job Functions
· Building team atmosphere within the media team.
·  Expanding on the broader business agenda within both the candidate’s direct team as well as the broader company staff compliment.

· Ability to travel both nationally on a regular basis, and internationally as required.
· The knowledge and ability to tap into both new and traditional media experience –   in order to better consult advertisers as part of the sales message.

Reporting
You will report directly to the CEO and will be expected to present to the company board on a quarterly basis.
